On behalf of the Municipal Governing Body of the Capital Disstrict of Sucre, I take the pleasure in extending some welcoming wishes to our touring visitors, to "la ciudad de Sucre", an open city to all people, Throughout Sucre you will experience human kindness from it's residents, Peace and Tranquility are present in Sucre.

On Sucre's streets you will encounter with the legacies which have been handed down from the criole and indígenous people that once forged the freedom and liberty of the Bolivian Republic, monuments depicting historical accounts, Sucre's white streets and colonial estates; are part of the history that has forged our identity and culture of a township with the challenge to mantain the liberties shared by all men and women in the hopes that venturing in continued progress and social development of all our "Provincias".
